This inspiring biography of Anandibai Joshi, India’s first female doctor was the second book in a series, aimed at readers between the ages of 8 and 13. The book was meant to be read to children virtually. Since the story was based in the Indian state of Maharashtra and took place in the pre-independence era, the illustrations paid particular attention to details and nuances reminiscent of Maharshtrian culture, at the time.
